Handmade Birthday Card Idea

Here is a handmade birthday card idea that you can use for a friend or anyone really when you change the colour scheme.

First you want to choose the Designer Series Paper you will use on your project. Your choice will be determined by who the card is for. For example, for a young child you will want bright colours; for a man, maybe more neutral colours. In this case, I used the Twinkle Twinkle DSP.

Then, choose the main colour of your card as one of the colours in the Designer Series Paper. Next, choose an accent colour also found in the DSP. My main colour is mint macaron and my accent colour is petal pink.

I chose the Softly Falling embossing folder but you can use what you have on hand and would fit the theme of the card. I love adding texture to my cards and using an embossing folder is fast and easy. Put the cardstock inside the folder and run it through a die cutting and embossing machine.

I used the Amazing Life stamp set for this homemade birthday card idea. There are a lot of images in that set that make it so versatile. It has seven greetings and beautiful artwork that can be used in a mix and match situation. I have used it for congratulations cards, “you’re amazing” type cards and of course, birthday cards.
