Birthday Card Ideas

We all need birthday card ideas because everyone has a birthday and of course we want to send them a card! Make the card yourself for even more impact.

I will be using the Perennial Birthday stamp set which is a red rubber stamp set. I like that it has several images as well as a variety of ways to say “Happy Birthday” in a variety of fonts. Maybe you already have set in your stash with these options.

This card is pretty simple to make and I will give you step by step instructions.

Supplies for these birthday card ideas

First, let’s review the supplies you will need for this card. Of course you can change the colours to suit you. I chose the Designer Series Paper first and that gave me my colour palette.

Instructions

  1. Make your card base with the shaded spruce cardstock. Adhere a 4″x5.25″ of the Designer Series paper to the front.
  2. Next die cut a whisper white circle. Stamp the flower in blushing bride randomly on the circle, starting with one in the center. Don’t forget to let your stamp off the circle, it looks more randomly natural.
  3. Then you will want to stamp the leaves with the granny apple green ink.
  4. Die card the scalloped circle just a little bigger than your whisper white circle. Then adhere the two together and pop it up on to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Stamp the big bold Happy Birthday with granny apple green ink on a 7/8″ wide piece of whisper white cardstock. Flag each end with your paper snips and pop up on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Add a clear faceted gem to the flower in the middle for a finishing touch.

Variations you can use on this card:

  • Change the Designer Series Paper and change your colour palette.
  • Use a different flower to stamp in the circle
  • Choose a different greeting. Change the size of cardstock to match.

These are just a few birthday card ideas for today. Check out my first post on this blog, it was a birthday card! And here is another one.
