I love the sentiment on this cute birthday card! I am all about healthy eating but there has to be time for fun also.
The Amazing Life stamp set from Stampin’ Up! has become one of my favourites because it has so many stamps. You can combine them in so many different ways to make your card pop.
To make this cute birthday card I layered the cake image in grapefruit grove (you can stamp first on a scrap to make the image softer) with the greeting in balmy blue. Then I added little pops of daffodil delight. I also coloured the work “cake” with the grapefruit grove Stampin’ Write Marker.
Did you notice the “happy birthday” greeting in a circle and yet on the stamp set it is a straight line? That’s because you can curve photopolymer stamps!
How to curve a photopolymer stamp for a cute birthday card:
So first, you die-cut your circle; then you can curve the sentiment on the block, following the curve. Position the circle on your whisper white panel without gluing it down. Then you can stamp the greeting around it. I started in the middle and went around the sides afterwards.
I love the effect and it makes this set even more versatile.
Wrap the ribbon around the panel. Then you are ready to adhere your cake focal point with Stampin’ dimensionals to set it off.
You adhere the whole panel unto your balmy blue card base to finish it off. This card is sure to make someone smile so send it off!
