Here are Mothers’ Day card ideas so you can make a mom feel special on May 12.
This greeting is wonderful for our own mothers and it is part of the You’re Inspiring stamp set. However, you can give a Mothers’ Day card to any mom such as your sister, a friend, your grandmother or maybe someone who is like a mother to you.
In some cases, it would be more appropriate to omit the first part of the greeting. There are two ways you can do that:
1 – Use a Stampin’ Write black marker (not a blend!) directly on the stamp and ink only the part you want. Then huff on the stamp before stamping on your cardstock
2 – Use a piece of tape to cover the part of the stamp you don’t want and ink it. Then remove the tape (don’t forget!) and stamp on your cardstock.
Message Ideas for Inside
The inside of this card is blank because this is where you can write exactly what is on your heart. Here are some writing tips for you.
If the relationship with your mom is complicated, there is no need to be more effusive than you feel. Focus on what’s positive and true between you. Then be warm and sincere in your message.
A “mom” doesn’t have to have given birth to you! Let her know how special she is to you and how she has been a strong and caring influence in your life.
Any mom with kids still at home can use some encouragement. Maybe she is your sister or your friend. So just reminder her she is doing a great job.
If the card is for your grandmother, the blank inside is perfect as you can personalize it to what you call her, Nana, Granny or that special name that is unique to your family.
