Simple Handmade Christmas Card

Simple Handmade Christmas Card

A simple handmade Christmas card will make someone feel special. At Christmas time we want to make a bunch of cards to give to family, friends and colleagues. So, simple is good!

This card features the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper. I remember the walls at my grandma’s house wall papered with those designs. I can’t remember exactly what the pattern looked like but it was red and I was fascinated by it. So this paper brings back special memories for me!

The piece is 4″ x 5 1/4″ so you can make six cards with one sheet. The same pattern is on both sides, one side is Real Red, the other is Garden Green.

I chose to use the red side with the Garden Green ribbon. You will want to wrap the ribbon around the DSP before gluing the whole piece to the Very Vanilla Thick cardstock base.

For the greeting, I used the Merry Christmas To All stamp set. But first, I die-cut an oval in very vanilla cardstock with the stitched shapes dies. Then I could see how to place my stamps.

I placed the clean stamps on the oval, then placed the block on top. Now my greeting is ready to be inked with Garden Green Classic ink and stamped.

I die-cut a scalloped oval in Garden Green cardstock and attached it with SNAIL to the stamped greeting. Then it is all popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the card.

The three Glitter enamel Dots add some sparkle to this simple handmade Christmas card.

Now you can make a whole bunch of them with one pack of paper as four of the six designs are that Toile pattern.

You can check another easy Christmas card here and here.

If you like the Toile Tidings pattern, you will also like the Toile Tidings Gift Wrap. Such a unique way to wrap gifts!
