Simple Card with Triangles of Patterned Paper

Do you have pieces of pretty paper to use up? This simple card with triangles of patterned paper is really easy to make and a great way to use up your paper while making someone happy.

A simple card with triangles of pretty floral paper. The flowers on the paper (hues of happiness from Stampin' Up!) are in shades of pink. The greeting is stamped in Melon Mambo between the two triangles.

All you need to make this card is find a piece of patterned paper you like. Then cut it to 3 3/4″ square. Take that square and put it on your paper trimmer with the corners at the groove line and cut. Now you have two triangles!

Next you need coordinating cardstock. The Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper tells me the flowers are in shades of Melon Mambo. So it is easy for me to take a sheet of that Melon Mambo cardstock and my corresponding ink pad.

My card base is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″. The piece of Basic White cardstock is 4″ x 5-1/4″, which is pretty standard for most cards.

The greeting comes from Charming Sentiments stamp set and I stamped it with Melon Mambo ink. You will need a long and narrow sentiment to fit between your trianles.

I forgot to decorate the inside of the card. So make sure you do that! Just adhere a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. You can stamp a complementary greeting and/or add a flower cut out from your Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.
