Silver and Blue Holiday Card

I like this silver and blue Holiday card. It is fresh, fun and different than a traditional red and green card.

This card is really simple to make but it is also elegant.

Supplies:

Stamp set:
Merry Christmas to All

Ink:
Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin’ Pad
Smoky Slate Classic Stampin’ Pad

Paper:
Coastal Cabana Cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
Silver Foil Sheets

Accessories:
Merry Christmas Dies
Woodland Embossing Folder
SNAIL
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Stampin’ Trimmer ** NEW **

Instructions

Prepare your base by folding an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock in half so it is ready for later.

Stamp “Holiday” with Coastal Cabana ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then stamp the frame with Smoky Slate ink. The stamp set is photopolymer so you can see what you are doing while lining up the two images.

Now you are ready to work with your die-cutting and embossing machine. Firstly, you want to run a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock through the Woodland embossing folder. Then you can take the frame from the set of dies and die-cut the greeting.

Finally die-cut “Happy” from a scrap piece of Silver Foil cardstock.

All that is left is to assemble the card. Adhere the embossed piece with SNAIL to the card base. Adhere “happy” with a small amount of liquid glue. Finally use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the greeting.

Do you like making a silver and blue Holiday card? I like to use non-traditional colours for the Holidays but I have an example of a red and green card using the Merry Christmas to All stamp set here.

  1. I like it ok but I’m not joining the worldly people who like the “HAPPY HOLIDAYS” because they are trying to take the “CHRIST”
    Out of CHRISTMAS.
Don’t be fooled or go along because it’s what the negative people or non believers want. It’s all about Him…

    • You could totally choose “Christmas” instead of Holidays. That’s what I love about that stamp set, you can choose your own greeting.
