Today, I share with you a quick and simple thank you card inspired by a Japanese demonstrator. She used watercolouring on her card, but I simplified it for you. She is amazing at watercolouring while I am not…
I shared with you Painted Poppies cards in the traditional red and black that you can see here and here. However, there are three stamps in the set that can add texture to any card. In other words, you can really use any colour you want with them.
Here is how to make it
I chose to use the largest “sprinkles” stamp. I first stamped it randomly in Bermuda Bay ink, trying to form a semi-circle of sorts. After cleaning the stamp, I stamped in Daffodil Delight in blank spaces.
I chose the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and stamped it with Memento black ink. That set pairs beautifully with the Painted Poppies set. It has very nice sentiments for a variety of occasions, including birthday, sympathy, thinking of you and more.
Before adhering my finished panel, I wrapped a piece of that beautiful crinkled seam binding ribbon. I love this ribbon! It is light and airy, can be colored with Stampin’ Blends or an ink pad. It is SO versatile!
Do you have your Painted Poppies stamp set yet? I will be showing you more samples made with it because it is so versatile. It is bundled with the Painted Labels dies (save 10%) which not only cut the flowers and leaves but also has some cool dies for any sentiment in any set.
So this is your quick and simple thank you card to inspire you to make similar ones in other colours. Leave a comment and tell us what colours you want to try.
Love the colors and simplicity of this card.
