Do you need a New Year Greeting Card for 2020? I love the greeting in this card because it is so encouraging!
As we look to 2020, we have dreams, hopes, and aspirations. These dreams are not realized yet, but we can set ourselves up in that direction. In other words, we can set our sails in that a way that our boat will go in the direction of our dreams. There are a lot of uncertainties as we enter a new year and a new decade. But we can still set our sails to go in a specific direction in 2020 that may be different than in 2019.
Will we encounter changing winds? Probably! We can readjust the sails then to keep going in the same direction. Will we encounter rough seas? Maybe, but we can still modify the sails so we keep going in the same direction.
So, who thought that a nautical stamp set could make a New Year greeting card for 2020? Here is another nautical card.
It is a very simple card to make so let’s give you some quick instructions.
Supplies:
Stamp set and dies:
Sailing Home Bundle (151066)
Ink:
Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin’ Pad (147111)
Sahara Sand Classic Stampin’ Pad (147117)
Paper:
Night of Navy cardstock (100867)
Whisper White cardstock (100730)
Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (149481)
Accessories:
Baker’s Twine – Night of Navy/Sahara Sand (149483)
Instructions:
- Make your Night of Navy card base by folding in half a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of cardstock.
- After that, cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the designer series paper with the sail boats. Next, you want to cut a 3/4″ x 4″ strip of the Mossy Meadow design. Then, cut a 1″ x 4″ strip of Whisper White cardstock.
- Stamp the knot twice on the Whisper White cardstock with Sahara Sand ink. Adhere the Mossy Meadow strip under it using SNAIL. Then adhere to the Designer Series Paper piece with the sailboats.
- Wrap some baker’s twine around and make a bow. Now you are ready to adhere to your card base.
- Next, stamp the greeting on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock with Mossy Meadow ink. Die cut with the nice frame included in the dies. Pop up the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
See, that was simple to make. Now, who do you know who needs to hear that message?
