I want to talk to you about how to ink a stamp, more specifically, how to ink a distINKtive stamp.
Stampin’ Up! has a new type of stamp called “distinktive.” They can be cling or photopolymer but they are very detailed. They give a photo-like image and are gorgeous! However, it can be a bit tricky to get that perfect image. It all comes down to how much ink is on your ink pad at the time.
I shared how to make this card with my mailing list subscribers but today I want to talk more specifically how to ink a stamp, a distinktive stamp.

These stamps are gorgeous and you want to make sure that the beauty comes out.
So use these simple tips to get the perfect image:
Test on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and look at the result.
Is the image clear and detailed? or is it muddy? If it is muddy, congratulations, you ink pad is nice and juicy and well inked. In this case, just push the ink down into the pad like I show on the video.
Tip: if you plan on using that same colour for your greeting or any other stamp, make sure to stamp them before you push the ink down. Else, you will have to wait until the ink comes back to the surface to get a nice strong image.
This cool handmade card is another example of the distinktive stamp at work.
You can recognize the distinktive stamps in the catalogue by the logo next to the name of the stamp. Online, you can check them all at once here and order your favourite(s).
