I love the soft colours in this beautiful handmade flower card. It is sure to make someone smile. My friend Chris Carmichael made this card but I love it and thought I would share it with you.
The main background of this card is the beautiful Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. On one side of each paper, you have hand-painted impressionistic imagery (mostly flowers). But on the other side, you find soft blended colours.
Did you notice the gorgeous petal pink vellum? She stamped two sets of petals with mossy meadow ink on the vellum and then punch them out with the coordinating Perennial Flower Punch.
She stamped the greeting also in mossy meadow on the petal pink vellum and die-cut it with the stitched nested labels. The stitching on the label looks like dots rather than dashes which gives it a very soft look and I love it.
Sometimes it is difficult to hide the adhesive on vellum. However, this is not an issue with this one which is definitely a bonus.
In addition, that organdy ribbon adds to the feel of the card. You will have to wait a bit for it though as it is on backorder. Certainly worth waiting for!
In conclusion, I want to encourage you to create a beautiful handmade flower card that will make someone smile. In the same vein, here is another floral card to inspire you. I am listing supplies below with a link to my store, but use what you have on hand.
