This handmade elegant card is just gorgeous! I was inspired by a Japanese demonstrator who is also very good at watercolouring – I am not. But this card, I could make.
If I use water and colour, I am watercolouring… right? It’s really this simple on this card.
Take a piece of watercolor paper and put some water on it. Then dab your aqua painter on Melon Mambo ink and make a blob on your watercolor paper. Make it big enough but not too big so part of the flower die does not have any colour.
Now you need to let it dry or speed up the process with a heat tool. Then position the flower from the Poppy Moments Dies in a way that is pleasing on your blob. Also place the two center pieces and run it all through your die-cutting and embossing machine.
I used the Pretty Peacock ink for the leaves (from Painted Poppies stamp set) and the sentiment (from Butterfly Gala stamp set). I stamped the leaves twice on scrap paper before stamping on my panel. The sentiment is full strength.
The flower is naturally curved so I just put a Stampin’ Dimensional on the center to adhere to my panel. Then I adhered the panel to a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock and attached to a Purple Posy card base.
Add a few sequins and done! Click on the links if you need any supplies (Canada only).
