Sometimes you need a more formal thank you card. Indeed, gold embossing and the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set make this card formal and beautiful.
I have to thank my friend Mo Dickie for creating this beautiful card and sharing it with me. Gold completely elevates this card and make it more formal but still fun.
She used gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder to heat emboss the gorgeous flower from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set while the Magnolia Memory dies cuts it out in a snap. Note: You can get both the stamp set and the dies in a bundle and save 10%
She sponged the leaves with old olive and the flower with petal pink. Then for good measure, she added some Wink of Stella on strategic spots on the flower for added shine and interest. It is very hard to photograph shine, so you can’t really see in the picture.
She heat embossed the Thanks greeting in gold onto the Magnolia Lane Designer Series paper. Then she layered it on a piece of gold foil sheet. This gold border makes a huge difference in the tone of the card and it is so easy to add.
Finish the card with a few metallic pearls and send it!
We don’t often need a formal thank you card but using gold on a regular card automatically makes it more formal and gorgeous. Gold foil sheets and gold embossing powder adds the shine and glitter that promotes a card to the next level.
