Colouring with watercolor pencils can be fun and relaxing. It used to be a stressful, not relaxing. However, I bought a kit a few month ago (Lots of Happy) and did the cards exactly as shown. That made it so easy! In the process I learned quite few tricks about colouring with watercolor pencils and shading with them too.
You can just colour a uniform shade and in some cases it looks just great that way. Other times you may want to fuss a bit more and add the shading for extra dimension.
Have a look at the video I have made using the Blended Seasons stamp set and the Watercolor Pencils assortment 2.
You can see the difference a bit of shading makes. Now that I know what I am doing, I find it quite relaxing to colour.
Here are photos of the cards I showed on the video so you can see them better. They are all made with that same stamp set, Blended Seasons, available in August only while supplies last.
The Summer card shown on the video:
The Fall card done with Cajun Craze cardstock. The leaves are coloured with Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler.
The Christmas card. There are other images in the set to use for Christmas as well.
The Spring card includes one of six sentiments included in the set.
Have fun colouring with watercolor pencils!
